About Mobile Phones

Hi all again!

Today's about mobile phones. Nowadays, mobile phones are one of the most developed telephones. Almost everybody uses one and they are very useful because you can carry them everywhere. As the technology industry grows, all the electronic devices grow too. That has happened with the mobile phones, they are adding them more and more tools like better cameras, video cameras, radio, games, tactile screens, WIFI etc.

I have a Samsung Onix. It is not like Blackberrys and all that but it is ok for me. It has camera, Wifi, tactile screen etc.

In Spain, people usually use mobiles for texting and listening to music. Instead of having a MP3 player they use their mobile phone. By that way, the dont waste any money on unnecessary gadgets.

Here is a photo of my Samsung Onix.

About Computers

Hi again! It has been a long time since the last post! How are you all?

Today, I'm goingo to talk about computers. In my opinion, we are living a technological age. Because of that, computers, are very useful nowadays, and almost every family has one. At home, we have two computers and one laptop.

In the near future, they will catch much more significance. I surely believe that in the next years, our daily live will be based in electronics. We will even have computers with the size of a speck of dust! (Nanotechnology)

I usually use my computer for entertainment (chating, Tuenti, music, facebook etc) but I often do homeworks in them. I think that school classes here in Spain should be more technological. By that way, they will be more practical and more easy to us to take notes etc. Here in Spain we cant use computers at class, as Estonian people do.

See u soon!

Estonia & mobile phones

Estonians have good relationships with mobile phones. Finland (Nokia is a Finnish company) is next to us, so techonology and things alike are our proud. By now almost everybody has a smart phone with a touch screen and sometimes even better cameras than some actual digital cameras. I have a Nokia 9300i. It's quite an old model but it works better than my previous Qtek 2020.
Estonians use mobile phones for eveything. People don't need offices anymore because we have wifi everywhere, everybody has a phone than allows them to use the Internet to read emails, they can listen to music, take pictures and the list goes on and on..
When we were in Turkey then Turkish were always texting, whether it was 5 in the morning or midnight and the same goes for Americans. Estonians call more and if you don't have a really good deal from your service provider then SMSs can be quite expensive.
This is my current phone

Computer

Hi,
I have to apologize, because I haven't write in this blog a long time.
But what can I say about computers?
Well, I'm convinced that nowaday almost everybody has at least one computer at home. In my home, there're 3, one computer and two laptops.
Also some of my classmates take laptop everywhere with them. For example, in the lesson. Some teachers permit it, some not.

Hmm, Why I use computers?
Usually I use computer for entertainment: read local and foreign news, facebook, read and send some e-mails, chat with my friends in MSN, watch films and serials.
Of course, I do my schoolwork also.

I don't know, what else, but f you have questions, then write !

See ya,
Katre

The dog whisperer by Cesar Millan

The dog whisperer is a TV reality in english ( it is also shown in many other languages: Spanish etc.) that follows Cesar Millan as he works with dogs misconduct. Cesar Millan shows the dogs owners how to become the leader of the pack. In my opinion, this program is very interesting because, although you dont have a dog, is nice to see how Cesar can change dogs behaviour to a better one.

All started when in 2002, after publishing an article in the Los Angeles Times, Cesar Millan worked with MPH entertainment in a program called "The dog whisperer with Cesar Millan" for the channel National Geographic.
The program was premiered in 2004. In its first spell, it wasnt in the prime time but finally it became the top1 in National Geographic. In 2009, National Geographic and Fox reached an agreement to display the reality in the 2010 autumn, that would take the TV program to 50 million homes.

My Favorite TV Programs

The Big Bang Theory

Leonard, Sheldon, Howard, Raj are live together and they like same things.Leonard is an experimental optical physicist who loves Penny, Sheldon is a theoretical physicist( he is my favorite and i think he's so cute with his long and difficult speechs), Howard is an aerospace engineer who is Jewish, Raj is an astrophysicist who is from India and Penny is their neighbor who dont understand their language.

Leonard is a shy man and he always try to fix the situation. Sheldon, he is very knowledgeable and speaks a lot. Howard is a libertine and his eyes are always searching babes. Raj from India and he usually silent. Penny is beautiful and sexy girl but she doesn't agree with Sheldon.

The Simpsons

 This
American animated television series tell about American culture, society, television and people.

Homer is a man who silly and careless. And he is father of family and he married with Marge ( i dont like Marge's voice). They have 3 children. Bart is a naughty boy and he is 8, Lisa is a girl who grew up early and baby Maggie who speak with her teat. And they had a dog before but now they have a cat.

The show includes an array of quirky characters: co-workers, teachers, family friends, extended relatives, townspeople and local celebrities. The creators originally intended many of these characters as one-time jokesters or for fulfilling needed functions in the town.

  See you.

My Favorite TV Program ---->>> MythBusters

MythBusters is a science entertainment TV program created and produced by an Australian company, Beyond Television Productions, originally for the Discovery Channel in the United States. The series is screened by numerous international broadcasters, including SBS One and the Discovery Channel in Australia, Discovery Channel Canada, Quest and the Discovery Channel in the UK. The show's hosts, special effects experts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, use elements of the scientific method to test the validity of rumors, myths, movie scenes, adages, Internet videos and news stories.

Filming is based in San Francisco, California, though some elements of production are done in Artarmon, Australia. Planning and some experimentation takes place at Hyneman's workshops; experiments requiring more space or special accommodations are filmed on location, typically around the San Francisco Bay Area and other Northern California places. During the second season, members of Savage and Hyneman's team ("The Build Team") were organized into a second team and now generally test myths separately from the main duo.

My favorite TV-series

This week's topic is our favorite TV-series. Recently I find myself in fron of the TV quite often. We have two channels which mostly show only series, they are Fox Life and Sony Entertainment Television. They show the same series but different seasons and episodes. It has happened that combining the two channels I can watch fo example Desperate Housewives all day.
When I was sick some time ago and skipped school, I watched Grey's Anatomy for 6 hours in a row. My favorite series are all kinds of medical series: Grey's Anatomy, ER, Dr House, Private Practice. I also like Desperate Housewives, According to Jim, Borthers&Sisters, Ugly Betty, Army Wives and one Estonian series called Pilvede all (Under the Clouds). As you can see, I watch a lot of TV. Shortly about all of them:
Grey's Anatomy is my absolute favorite! Complex relationships and lots of medical diagnostics and that sort of stuff. Sometimes I do get annoyed by how they talk to each other. If you've seen Grey's Anatomy, then you know what I mean.
Private Practice is a sister-show to Grey's Anatomy. These two have the same writer Shonda Rhimes. Private Practice concentrates even more on the relationships then GA.
ER has been in production for more than 10 years. I like it because it a bit more medical and serious than the previous two. ER is made in Chicago and sometimes they show the streets or just some places and then it feels very good to say that I've been there.
Dr House I haven't met a single person who says that they don't like Dr House. It's fun and it has good humour. The episodes are very much alike by their structure in my opinion. That I wouldn't watch for six hours in one day.
I'll skip Desperate Housewives because everybody knows what I would be talking about!:D
According to Jim is a fun half-an-hour show. I usually hate those series which have voiceover laughing but they jokes in this one are actually good!
Army Wives talks about the lives of the wives of the American soldiers who are in Afganistan or Iraq. It's very heart-warming and sometimes utterly sad. The waiting and missing their loved ones is very well acted.
Brothers and Sisters tells a story about a family whose father died and left the family a big mess to deal with meanwhile the 5 (grown-up)kids have to deal and move on with their lives and they all have a family business to run. Again, a real tear-puller, I don't think there have been many episodes during which I haven't dropped a tear :)
Under the Clouds talks about the lives of three sisters. They don't know who their father is, so they're searching for him. One of the sisters is a OB/GYN (women's doctor) who always keeps meeting men who are already married. The second one is a housewife who recently had a miscarriage. The third one is an interior decorator who now works as an art teacher and I think she's lesbian (but I'm not sure:D). In the picture from left to right: the housewife, the art teacher and the OB/GYN

Well, this post is utterly long but I hope you can manage. And FYI (For Your Information), in Estonia all the tv-series which are imported (not made in Estonia) don't have voiceovers. We have subtitles and this probably is one of the reasons why we have good English. I have to admit, I haven't seen any of the movies you wrote about. But my movie preferences are similar to my TV-series' taste.
I can't wait for your posts!

"Inside Man"

Hey again bloggers!

I was waiting to post about a film because maybe this weekend I could go to the cinema but anyway I will talk about "Inside Man".

I really like this film, I like action films mostly and this is the best I have ever seen. The film is directed by Spike Lee and the main characters are Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Willem Dafoe, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jodie Foster and Christopher Plummer.

The plot is about a bank robbery with hostages in Manhattan. Detective Frazier is assigned to negotiate but the bank robber is so clever that he wont let Detective Frazier (Denzel Washington) dismantle his plan. Moreover, the detective will have to face the robbery plus the corruption charges he is accused of. Apart from the money of the robbery, the robber (Clive Owen) is looking for something that the director of the bank (Christopher Plummer) is hidding in a deposit box inside the bank. The negotiations will keep on during all the film and as the robber says to the detective Frazier "I will get out of this bank walking by the main door". How will he do that? Aren't you anxious to see the film?

Here I leave you the trailer in English: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j3K7t_IONc&feature=related

And Leon teaches the use of guns to Mathilda. Mathilda is very curious. She always asks questions and Leon tries to answer. But Leon loves Mathilda because the first time someone is treats well him.

One day, Leon must go and Mathilda doesn't want this. Because she needs him and she truts him.
And says this words; ( my favorite )

Mathilda: I dont wanna lose you Leon.
Leon: You're not going to lose me. You've given me a taste for life. I wanna be happy. Sleep in a bed, have roots. And you'll never be alone again.
Please, go now, baby, go. Calm down, go now. I love you Mathilda.

Hi friends!

How was your day?

Mine was good. Today we had a special day. Some students organized a strike, so some students went to class other didnt. I went to class because we had some important lessons but at the end, we only talked and corrected some exercises.

Tomorrow, there is another special day too. At the fourth lesson, the maths teacher is not coming so the literature professor will come to teach us. That means that we are going home in the last hour! hahaha
We have been lucky students during this week!

In the afternoon, as every day, I went to my basket training. It was good today, but some of us didnt come, they had to study.

Tomorrow we had P.E, so we are going to do climbing again! lets see what happens!

Bye!

The day started like another one, with my breakfast and going to the school. The first 3 hours were really boring, then the rest of  classes were a little bit funniers.
The best part of this day, has been the part when i heard that the day of tomorrow , we don´t have to go to the school. That mines  that tomorrow it`s going to be a free day ::):):)
In the afternoon, I did  my homework and I went out with my best friend and after that, we went to my house and we played same games.

Tuesday, 29th March 2011, Turkey

  Hello my friends;
Last 2 days for new friends. I am getting ready for this. When you come to Turkey, I think we'll have so much fun :) Because Ankara trip will be fun.
It was an awful day. I had sleep. I had 2 exams. Religion and History. I continuous worked for exams. But they weren't good :(
And a girl made me angry. She lied about us and I've been guilty. I tried to explain but teacher didn't listen me. Because the girl was crying! I hated her at that time.
Anyway, I have 2 exams tomorrow. They are literature and math. I think literature is a diffucult lesson. Because  You must memorize, authors, novels, books, poems... They are very complicated. I should study a little more before go to bed. See you ;)

Take care yourself

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

Hello bloggers!

How are you? How was today?

I got up early as usual, took my breakfast and went to school. As I told you yesterday, we didnt have the last lesson because of the teacher. The story repeated today, we didnt go to the last class! hahaha, they told us that our teacher was ill and that she wont come until wednesday, so tomorrow she will be here again :(

After school, I went home to have lunch. My mum prepared Paella. Do you know what is it? Is rice but with prawns, clams and all that. It is very nice (you may tell your Spanish partner to cook it when you are coming! haha). Then, I went to the basketball training ( I know I train everyday hahaha). It was so hard today. I finished so tired.

Tonight, there is a basketball match in TV, who faces Maccabi and Caja Laboral Baskonia. It is the third game they play, and the stats are 1-1.

It is going to start now! Bye guysss!

Tuesday, March 29 in Estonia - the last day!

Hi!
Without an introduction (it's getting late for me), Tuesday was a bit more exciting day than Monday.
We had our student council meeting (with all 42 members) but Katre lost her voice somewhere, so it was hard for her to speak loudly in front of a big group. After the meeting (we have on the second break) we had two Estonian lessons which were boring as hell and my hand started to have spasm because all of them (useless) writing. We had to write off a sonet from the book just to draw lines under fourteen words. But ok, let's give it to our teacher, she is some 70-80 years old too:D After that Katre went home because she doesn't want to get any more sicker than she is - we're going to Turkey in one day! I believe that she slept, watched TV and packed her suitcase at home.
Me, on the other, had my Spanish lesson (Todavia estoy estudiando espanol) over three weeks. Hope to put my skills under a test in Turkey with the boys! I can talk about my family and how old I am and this basic stuff but otherwise I love Spanish language, it's easy and very similar to English (language structures, articles) in a way that Estonian isn't. My former Russian teacher had brought me a present from Moscow because I came second in the national Russian competition, I got some very delicious chocolate and a CD with very good songs, btw;) And winning that second place was like I had had a birthday, everybody were congratulating me the next day. In Estonia, when you're in the top 10 of some national competition then you get to study free that subject in the university and when it happens in the 12th grade (the last year) then you're accepted to medical faculty (which is where I'm headed;).
After Spanish I (Katre was supposed to hav too) had meeting with all the schools' extracurrical activity's managers and some more active students from three schools. It was a quick meeting but I had less than an hour to my yoga class which was in the same building, so I hang out at our youth centre. My yoga class went very well but.. after the yoga. My boyfriend had texted me that he wants to come to my house for the night but I really don't check my phone all the time, only when it rings. So I didn't see the text until I was almost home (it's about 13 km distance)when he phoned. And boy, did he get angry! I was like: how was I supposed to know that you texted me and what can I do that today is an important football match Estonia-Serbia and his father had already drunk some beer and can't drive. So he blamed it on me. We talked for more than 30 minutes on the phone. So the rest of the evening I've tried not to think about it but what can you do.. I also packed my suitcase too a bit. And now I'm headed to bed because my eyes are closing against my will :D
All the best to you all and let's keep in touch via Facebook!
Hi!!
My Monday has been a really relax day , because the first class has been a "retake exam" class, as a result , I dind´t go and I stayed sleeping at home.
All classes were very boring but the day in general was funny, because of some jokes of one of my frinds.

In the afternoon, I went  out to run with my MP4 and my favority music , so it has been a great afternoon.
Then , I did my homework, as usual, and after that, my best friend called me and we stayed talking the rest of the afternoon . In conclusion, I can say that this day ,was really great.
How was youurs?

Monday, 28th March in Spain

Hi guys!

How was your Monday? I got up at 7.00 like everyday during the week. We didnt have the first class, because some of our classmates were doing the retake exam of philosophy, so we slept one more hour. After the break, we had laboratory technique, and I forgot my lab coat at home. At the weekend, I took it home to wash, and for my bad luck I didnt remember to carry it back. We also didnt had the last class, again, the teacher didnt come.
So we only had 4 lessons, very good day for us :D

In the afternoon, I went to my basketball practice. I used to take the bus but today my father carried me to the court that was a little bit far from home. We practised for 3 hours, but not with the same team, with two.

After that, I was so tired. My coach drove me home and here I am writting my daily. I want to go early to bed, so friends, waiting for your answers, I will brush my teeth and rest until tomorrow.

See you!

Monday, 28th March in Turkey

  Hey,
How are you? Are you having fun? Yes, I am happy today. Because I'm not ill anymore :) I have an excellent energy today :) I laugh a lot :) I hope, I'll cry a lot. This a Turkish Culture : P
Today, I woke up at 07:40. I missed my school bus. But, I saw my friend on the way. He asked me stupidly questions but I couldn't answer :)
There was 7 lessons and 2 exams. They are Turkish and Geometry. Geometry exam was so difficult. I couldn't do some of the questions.   But it doesn't matter. Because I'll study this lesson.
After the school, I went to math course. My teacher is a young woman and we can talk about boys or boyfriend :) She said ; -What is he doing? -He? -Your boyfriend. - Mmm.. Yes. He is fine :) I can't tell. I don't know. And then I came home. I studied History. Because there is exam tomorrow.

I am waiting for you :)

Take care yourself.

Monday, 28th March in Estonia

Afternoon greetings!
Today was our first day of our final term. We always hate Mondays, we have Biology, Maths, Physics and Chemistry all in a row in one day. But today was a quiet day. Not much happened besides the fact that our class was a bit restless (talking during lessons). A lot of the talking was about cars (yes, Katre has driving licenses and it IS the most important thing atm:D) and taking the driving exams. Luckily, all of that talk goes right past me because I finished my driving school more than two years ago and have licenses since last October. Yei!
We have student council's board meetings on Monday during the lunch break but today we had nothing to talk about. So really, a quiet day!
After all those hard lessons we two English classes where we talked about money and different situations connected to money where we've been. Of course we talked about our blogs and read out loud some funny English sentenceses. Sometimes it was really very funny how some of us write but what can you do. It still is better than nothing! After the English classes I had my chemistry's national exam's consultation. By 5 pm I was home and had dinner. Katre waited for an hour after the English classes ended (she isn't taking the exam) and then took the school bus home. And I believe the rest of day we have the same.
Today's and yesterday's and the days before that were and are a complete disaster! Although the spring began a week ago, we have a freaking snowstorm every day! Today we almost got trapped in the snow with our car on our drive way and our neighbour did. The snow plow had to come and drag him out of there. When looking from a warm room, only then the weather seems gorgeous. Sun is setting (our sun sets an hour, I know that for you guys it's like 15 mins max:D) and occasional drifting snow.
Our teachers have a Comenius project too with a partner school also from Turkey. They just arrived yesterday from there (they were 40 km from Eskisehir) and told us some rather piquant stories about it. For one moment me and Katre thought that we're gonna ''get sick'' for the trip:D The Turkish culture is really very different from ours so I think that a culture shock is on its way! No harm meant ;) But it is always interesting to see how other people live and to know that life somewhere else isn't the life we have here. Although, one of the biggest differences which stood out when Seyma, Gürkan and Anil were here, was that they always had time (not that it matters that the bus is leaving or we have a booked tour) while we were always on time and ready with our things. It bugged us but we had to consider the fact that it might be like that.
But ok, I thought I had a nice way to end this super-long post but I lost it:D If you have questions or comments then please don't hesitate to do it!

All the best wishes
Eva

On Sunday morning ,I didn´t go anywhere so I did my homework and then in the afternoon I went to my best friend´s house and we stayed there talking and watching some videos from Youtube :)

Sunday, 27th March in Estonia

Hello to all of you out there!
So, Sunday.. Not much to talk about once again. Stayed homed all day, cleaned a bit and studied chemistry. I wrote my Saturday's post as a comment to Katre's Friday's post. Really complicate, but anyways, see the comments of Friday, 25th March in Estonia. I haven't talked to Katre today, so I don't what has she been up to.
Atm I have a tooth ache :( But I did cook yesterday night and took photos of it but my Internet is way too slow to upload them :( Anyways, I made pig's ears: puff pastry rolled in cinnamon-sugar mix, rolled from opposite sides together and then cut, baked. They turned out really good (Y) Since I had some dough left over, I tried to make my own croissantes a la Estonie and some random apple "pockets".
Just a little about our weather: we still have 75 cm of snow some places and max temperature in the daytime is around +1...+3, at nights -12...-15. I guess you turkish and spanish can be very pleased about your weather and I can't wait to go to Turkey because it's warm there! And I have no idea what to wear to Turkey because coming from here, we tend to think that +15 is very warm and besides a sweater we don't need anything but then again, I'm a real cold-hater and I always wear more clothes than others, so I have no idea. Gülsah and her friend could give us some advice!
And leaving that to settle, I have not much to add anymore. Tooth ache is trying to kill me, too.

All the best wishes and send us some sun!

Sunday, 27th March in Spain

Hi all!

How was your weekend? I'm sorry but I couldnt write the day before, I was very tired!
Yesterday, I got up so early, exactly at 7:00 am. The reason of getting up that early was that I had to play two basketball matches, the first one at 9:00 and the second one at 12.30. You can imagine, when I finished the first match I went quickly to the second. It was a good morning, apart from my tiredness, because we won both matches!

In the afternoon, I went to see my little cousins that were coming from Barcelona. We played all the afternoon so, my tiredness was bigger and bigger! After that, I went to the cinema with my father. We saw the new film Destino Oculto or The Adjustment Bureau in english. I recommend you to see it, it was a very good and amusing film!

Today, I got up a little bit later ( I need that rest haha). My parents and I went to my grandparents house to have lunch. After finishing lunch, I went back home to do my homeworks (already finished) and now I'm going to see a basketball match in TV. Later, I will come to see your posts!

See you!

  Hey everybody!
I couldn't write a daily because I was ill. Stomache, headache.. All mixed :(
Today, my head still hurting :(. Nevertheless, I went to course at 13:30. There was 6 lessons. But after 4 lessons, I left the course. My headache was killing me. I met with my friend and we drank somethings. We played a game and I won (with cheating).
I watched a film with my friend 2-3 hours ago. It was so long. I couldn't endure.
It's enough my friends. I'll go to bed. Sorry :(

  Take care yourself :)

Today i'm going to rest and sleep and rest and sleep etc :D Maybe I study a bit, but I'm not sure.

Friday, 25th March in Spain

Hi everybody!

Today was a good day, we had 6 classes because one teacher didnt come, so we went home one hour earlier.
In the afternoon, I went to the basketball training (yes, I train 6 times a week). After the training, all the team went to a bar to eat something. We had a lot of fun. Then, we returned home.

The weather here is sunny, but the temperature is around 7-12 ºC. In the morning, its colder than in the afternoon.

And that was my day. I'm very tired and I have headache. I apologize for writing this short post.

Enjoy your weekend! Bye!

Thursday 24th March, 2011 in Spain

Hi all!

I have read all your posts and you seem to have fun today! My day as I said yesterday, was nearly the same.
I got up at the same time, at 7.00 am. Todays first class has been gym. It has been a special class. We had done climbing. Two years ago, we did it to but I didnt remember that climbing was so hard! My fingers still ache!

After that, we returned to school and we were there until 14.45. Then, we took the bus back home.

In the afternoon (after doing my homework when I finished lunch) I went to the basketball training. Today the sport centre which I train in, is nearer home so I only have to take a bus. About the training, it was good :D

When I arrived home after the training, I did some homework and watched the Maccabi Tel Aviv - Caja Laboral Baskonia basketball match. Unfortunately, they lost. They were playing very good until the last two minutes.

I'm so tired of today, so bye bye guys, see u tomorrow!

(Any questions, ask! If you want to see pictures of my city or something, tell me and I will post them!)

Thursday, 24th March in Estonia

Yeah, I guess I forgot to introduce myself and Katre. Well, I'm Eva and I'm 18 (so is Katre). Me & Katre are in the school student council, she is the president, I'm the VP. Katre spends her very little free time with dancing and acting (if i should forget sth then let me know!), I do national dances and yoga. I love to read as well. One other thing I forgot to mention, is that we're having our spring break at the moment - no school for a week, but the week is ending :(
A bit of our school: our lesson lasts for 45 mins and after that a 10-minute break. We have a maximum of 8 lessons each day. Everybody can have a warm lunch (soup or a steak with dessert), lunch break lasts for 35 mins. I have a question for you: did others tell you about their trip to here? So I'd know what you already know.
Katre just a birthday on Tuesday, she turned 18. She is celebrating her bday tomorrow and she said that all she's been doing today is cooking, hosting some guests, cooking and cooking and shopping for groceries.
But me, on the other hand, had a very busy day again. First of all I managed to get into a fight with my boyfriend before it was even 6.30 am :D Regardless of that, I had my first job interview today! I applied for a job as a younger tour guide in the town hall in our medieval and gorgeous old town (google it!!). I think it went well - I had to show my abilty to speak in English and in Russian and talk a bit about myself. The pay is not going to be big but I value the experience even more. After the interview, my dad picked me up and we went to pick up mom from home to go shopping. Estonians love shopping. My mom got the jeans she always wanted but I didn't get anything because I'm waiting for Turkey, the shopping there should be much more cheaper and have more different stuff than here. I did buy some things as souvenirs to Turkey and a new suitcase. My old one broke down and although it could have been fixed easily, my dad insisted on buying a new one.
Me and mom had lunch at Baby Back's BBQ restuarant (american style) around three o'clock and now it's 7 pm and I'm still so full that I don't even want to look at food! I had a creamy soup with BBQ meat and seafood (I LOVE seafood!) and a traditional american apple pie. It all tasted excellent but the portions were way too big for me.
And here I am, at home again. I'm planning on studying Chemistry today but dunno how good I'm gonna be. I thought of posting some pictures of me and Katre but I couldn't find any from mymailbox (my Internet is way too slow). Tomorrow evening it's going to be Katre's bday party so I'm not sure I'll be able to blog right after the party but I'll give it a try!
PS! Maybe we could keep the blog (where the 'create a new post' is) in English!

Wednesday, 23rd March in Spain

 Hi everybody!

First of all, I introduce myself: I am Eriz and I am 17 years old. You will know more about me during this week haha, but if there is any question, please dont be afraid to ask me! Thanks Katre and Eva for such a good work, creating a new mail and the blog which we are going to use to write about our daily experiences. As I see, the day of the Stonian people was very good! My day was not as funny as yours but I will try to write something enjoyable.

It started at 7:00 am when the alarm rang. I got up and prepare for school. I had a good new today, my physics  teacher gave us the last test and I passed! I was very cheerful. Our classes are of fifty min. in wednesdays and fridays, so we have 7 different classes in a single day. Really, these days are soooooooooo hard! I wonder if you could tell us about your time at school, how many hours are you at it? How much does a class last?

After school, I went home to eat lunch. I usually do my homework after having lunch, by that way, I am free to do what I in the rest of the day. At 6.30 pm I caught a bus and went to the basketball training. The training court is far from my house so I have to caught a bus first and then the tram. We trained for two hours and a half. It was a good trainning, because almost everybody came. After that, my coach drove me to my house. And that was my day.
Sorry but here, instead of the weekend, the other days activities are so monotonous. I expect that yours have been more exciting!

See u soon!

Another common day

My name is Iñigo(strange name for you) and I´m 16.
My day has been a very common day, like others.I am thinking that every day at school is the same, day after day :) .
Today ,I woke up at 07:30 a.m.and I didn´t eat my breakfast because I always spent my time in front of the mirror. Then, our science teacher gave me my exam , and as always, I saw  the numer 3, so I can say that I hate science.
The end of the school time had been great, because the teacher dind´t come, so we went home one hour early ;).
The rest of the day, I did my homework and studied a little bit.
Yes, it is boring, I know!!!!
As I said, this day had been like another one....

Thank you for your emails
See you soon

Wednesday, 23rd March in Estonia

My day begun quite early, the alarm clock rang at 5.45 to catch the train to Tartu (the second biggest city in Estonia) to visit the open doors day of the University of Tartu. The university is the most prestigious university in Estonia, it was founded in 1632. Since Tartu is an exceptionally beautiful city ('town' would describe its size maybe better), we walked from the train station to the university's main building. It took about 15 mins.
Since I do have thoughts of what I would like to do after high school, but I don't know which of the is the right one or what to choose, I visited a lecture of the Department of English. It seems that learning English on a higher level doesn't really consist of lots of grammar. In fact, they said that they study gramnmar only term. Oh, I almost forgot: on the train we got little booklets about different faculties and their acceptance terms, I found out that I'm accepted to Romanic languages & culture department already because I won the second place on the national Russian competiton. That brightened my day a lot but in a way it made my lazier because now I feel that I don't have to study as much any more because I already have a spot in the university in the field that I would actually like to study.
After that I visited the Biomedicum of the university. It is one of the most modern facilities in Europe to study medicine. We had a lecture from a lecturer and two students. That definitely put some persepectives up and all my chances to study it, depend on Russian! :) If I should win (or be in the top five) of the national Russian competition next year, I'm in.
After the lecture, we went to the MORGUE (the place where they keep dead bodies) and saw a body which was already prepped. The stink was strong but I got use to it in a while. They prep the bodies formaline + sth else, so the smell was chemical not the decomposing of the body.
All in all, my day was a lot of fun. Although me and Katre were supposed to go out clubbing tonight but she turned me down :(  But that's alright, there will be plenty more parties to come. It was a terribly long and I am not used to walking this much in one day but I guess the better my sleep will be. Plus, the weather here is horrible - it's snowy, wet, windy and all the other nasty stuff you can imagine. Even though it's unbearably disgusting to walk around these days, it is only a sign of one thing - spring is coming!

See ya soon!
